I found this 2 verses of the book of Hosea very interesting, specially when invites us to acknowledge God, take a look:

"Let us acknowledge the Lord, let us press on to acknowledge him..." Hosea 6.3

"For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offering.." Hosea 6.6

Understand this friends.. to know God, to understand God´s ways are far more important than anything else in this world!

Life is not easy at all!

Why am I saying this? Take for instance the parable of the prodigal son...

A rich father with two sons, one of his son decides to leave and "enjoy" life, takes his inheritance and waste it in many ways, after that takes a job to feed

pigs, and his need was so great that he himself would eat the same 'stuff'.

When he comes to his sense, he decides to come back to his father and humble himself, asking his father to treat him as an employee.

His father so HAPPY to see his son back, decides to make a party and joyfully begins to celebrate his sons return when all the sudden.....

What happens????

His other son, the one who stayed and worked hard said to his father: " Father, all this years I have been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders ,

yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends???"

Even when you forgive someone who harmed you, somebody else will appear and demand from you another behaviour for if the one who harmed you

deserves such honour, what will you do for those who never harmed you?????

I experience this situation this past week.... I helped the weak, and had to argue with the strong because of my kindness....

What is the definition of a HYPOCRITE person?

Thinking about what Jesus said in Matthew 23.2,

" .. they seat at Moses chair, so you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do NOT do what they do for, for they do not practise what they preach.."

So, a hypocrite is a person who KNOWS the truth, knows how to teach others about the truth, BUT IS NOT WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE in order to practise

what knows!

Deep down he knows he is a hypocrite, but one lacks Courage to become a true follower, to him it´s enough to teach others the way as far he dosen´t need

to walk on it!

NOW the above only make sense once you know and understand that in order to practise the word of God REQUIRES DENIAL!!!!!!!

That´s why there are so many hypocrites in the world!!!

Here is the meaning of the BAPTISM IN WATER:

"Or have you forgotten that when we became Christians and were baptized to become one with Christ Jesus, we died with him?

For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised as he was.

Our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.

For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.

And since we died with Christ, we know we will also share his new life.

We are sure of this because Christ rose from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him.

He died once to defeat sin, and now he lives for the glory of God.

So you should consider yourselves dead to sin and able to live for the glory of God through Christ Jesus.

A REAL SACRIFICE BEGINS AT THE HEART!

Because of the intention of it!

Not always "money" is a REAL sacrifice, otherwise many more people would be blessed by now!

Two Christians were having a discussion about theirs church, each one was pointing the "wrongdoing"or "mistakes" of one another,

they said "mine is better because of this and of that! Yours is doing "this" which is wrong!!!!

When to my surprise, one of them turn to me and asked: "What you think? Which one is right? Which SIDE are You?

I JUST ANSWERED: " I AM ON JESUS SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Both of them at that moment noticed that 'on the end of the day' that´s the most important: to be sure that you are on Jesus side! Are u?

When a person is Born of God, God himself gives him the directions as it says in Isaiah 31:21

...Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and affliction for drink, he will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes, 21and you will hear a voice say, "This is the way; turn around and walk here."

I think you guys got that..right?

Now more important question than the above is: What a person HAS to do be Born of God?

The answer is FULL COMMITMENT. It means one hundred per cent Submitted to God.

I myself experience in my life the passage of Isaiah 31:21 that says " this is the way...turn around and walk here.."

It is COOL, more than that.. it is my Father taking care of me!!!

But Again it requires a covenant, commitment, submission... are you willing to do that???

Someone at this forum is actually making adverts of " won Gold " or "buy Gold" and inspired in this I decide to teach acording to the bible how to do it.

Revelation 4.18 says:

"I counsel you to BUY from ME gold refined in the fire, so you become rich..."

WE ALL NEED TO BUY GOLD FROM GOD!

No... i´m not talking about that special metal colored yellow normaly used in rings and jewerlys...


God said this to a church that 'thought' that was rich before his eyes... and The Lord said to this church.. you are poor!!!!

So I strongly advice you to buy Gold from me and must be refined with fire!!

What is this Gold that God is talking about?

Gold as we all know is something very precious and expensive, something rare, that you don´t find it easily.. right?

This Gold that God mention is (in my opinion) is the good deeds that we Christian all have to do!

And "refined by fire" means to be persecuted - it means you do something good and yet is persecuted for that...

" Gold refined by fire" = do a good action and yet be persecuted.

This is the kind of rich we must have before God´s eye!

And in your opinion- what is this Gold mentioned in Revelation 4.18???

" FORGET THE FORMER THINGS... DO NOT DWELL ON THE PAST!" It is in the book Of Isaiah 43:18

Sometimes all we need to do is to look FOWARD!!"

Most of us know what GIDEON replied to the Angel in the book of Judges 6.13 :

[/color]" But sir, Gideon replied: IF the Lord is with us, WHY has all this happened to us? WHERE are all his WONDERS that our forefathers told us about when they said 'Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?.."

What calls my attention here it is that although Gideon' replie was a bit hard to the Angel, the Angel said to him "Go in the strenght you have!!"

Now in the BOOK OF JEREMIAH chapter 2.6 God himself says that the Israelites SHOULD PRAY MORE LIKE THIS THAN INSTEAD TO TURN TO IDOLS!!

* The call of Jeremiah ( 1. 10 )

Jeremiah was son of a Priest called Hilkiah, and when God called Jeremiah to be his prophet, he replied to the Lord that he was still a child and could not serve to him… he said that because a young boy could never speaks in the name of the Lord at that age, only the ELDERS could do such thing. By doing this Jeremiah showed humbleness.

* The reason WHY God became against his people. ( 1. 16 )

“ …in forsaking me, in burning incense to others gods and in worshiping what their hands have made.”

* One man against his WHOLE COUNTRY! ( 1. 18 )

“Today I have made you… to stand against the whole land – against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land.”


*** Chapter 2***

*What was the problem happening at that time?

God complains to his people saying:
“What fault did your fathers find in me, that they strayed so far from me? They followed worthless idols..” (2 . 5)

“Consider and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the LORD your GOD” (2.19)

“…consider what you have done!!” ( 2.23)

“ …They say to wood, ‘you are my father’, and to stone, ‘you gave me birth’ ( 2.27)

As we can see the biggest problem of Israel of that time was that they were worshiping idols!!

If anyone may wonder "what is my point in this journey with the book of Jeremiah?"

I really just want to reach till chapter 15, when God said to Jeremiah: " Not even if Moses or Samuel were here I would answer!"

It sounds like God was rebuking Jeremiah... but in fact he was "conforting him".

I say this because image if you praying to God for something..and God tell´s you like, "listen not even if this MAN OF GOD would ask me what you are asking.. I would not give to him!"

I don´t believe in magic!! (full stop!)

So... there are times that not even the prayer of the most holy men on earth can help us.. unless we change our behaviour towards God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last monday I had an experience which I would like to share with all of you...

Someone walked into my business and somehow we end up talking about God, the problem was that this customer insisted with me that the SCIENCE found recently the body of Jesus and many others things that "prove" that the gospel it is not the way we christian believe...

This man began to talk to me about the "science that study the religion" and stuff like that... and at the end of the day I understood that his "trust" is based on man, his faith is upon the study of the mens called scientists...

It was right there that I realize how BLESSED I am!!!!

Because God gave me a heart able to believe in HIM in a very simple way!!

Just like "fishermans" Peter, Andrew, John, were very simple mans they were able to BELIEVE in Jesus, but the pharisses, the teachers of the Law, even the chief priest could not believe in Jesus for they wanted prove!!

This people who likes to study each and every details gets nowhere!

TILL TODAY THE SCIENCE DOES NOT KNOW 100% OF A HUMAN BRAIN FUNCTION AND THINKS THAT CAN KNOW GOD´S MIND!!

One day a bishop said something in one of the meetings that I will never forget... he said
" we cannot understand God, what we must do is to accept God in our lifes"

Well I told that men that through my faith in Jesus I conquered: healing for my body, a blessed wife, prosperity in my business and more than anything..

My assurance of being saved!!

And his science is taking him to where???

To believe in Jesus the way it is... it is already a God´s gift!

“BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO BELIEVES IN ME WITHOUT SEEING ME”

The book of Jeremiah is amazing!!!!

I say this because reading it, it is like a movie passing through your mind.
On the first chapter God calls Jeremiah to be his servant and from there God begins to use him to warn the people of Israel to return to God otherwise TERRIBLE things would happen!!!!

On the chapter 5.1 God says through Jeremiah that there is NO ONE UPRIGHT in Israel.

On the chapter 7 versus 30 it says…
“they have set up their DETESTABLE IDOLS in the house that bears my Name and have defiled it”

After many “warnings” from The Lord using Jeremiah to his people, and yet no response from his people; Jeremiah began to pray hard for God don’t do this terrible things that he had said earlier.

He prayed 3 times ( read chapter 14 ) and the answer of God was:
“Even if Moses and Samuel were stand before me, my heart WOULD NOT go out to this people”
Jeremiah 15.1
After that Jeremiah became frustrated and was almost giving up… for he was not seeing a way out, his people would suffer a great deal because of theirs sins…

If you read chapter 15 from verse 10 till 19 you will see how Jeremiah was frustrated…

The scriptures says in Jugdes 6.22 to 26,

"Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son's son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Mid'i-an. 23And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you. 24And Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye would give me every man the earrings of his prey. (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ish'maelites.) 25And they answered, We will willingly give them. And they spread a garment, and did cast therein every man the earrings of his prey. 26And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; besides ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Mid'i-an, and besides the chains that were about their camels' necks. "

On the verse 26 that says :
"..besides ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Mid'i-an, and besides the chains that were about their camels' necks. "

In my portuguese bible version says that this "ornaments and collars" had the shape of Half-Moon, you know very used in our days as an adorn by womens and also used in some religions and also in witchcraft ...

Now take your own conclusions about it, for the midianites were worshiping this idols, the god of the moon, of the stars... are you by any chance worshiping this false gods!!!
