Yes Ray, I thought about it and... I think you really don´t know about what´s going on in the church!

The campaigns of faith inside the church about sacrifice (financial sacrifice), the principle is the SAME one of the Bible.

Which is... to put your TRUST in GOD!!

Was not that what God asked to Abraham when he asked for him to sacrifice his beloved son? SURE God did not allow him to kill his own son, but TESTED his

faith and after it said " Know I know that you fear God.." Gen.22.12

So.. the idea of sacrifice is to SHOW to God our FAITH and people are actually being blessed!!

Now, sure the financial sacrificed MUST be followed with spiritual sacrifice which is the denial of the flesh or not to be living in sins..

P.S. I am NOT talking about the sacrifice of animals that the bible mention for forgiveness of sin but the plenty examples on the bible that trough SACRIFICE

showed to God theirs belief and trough it were blessed!!!!!

For me, I think sacrifice is giving up something that you enjoy or like doing for something more important even though it is REALLY hard..

Sacrifice is...basicaly "something" that you don´t want to do, that goes against your own will, otherwise it wouldn´t be a sacrifice.

And that´s why is so HARD to sacrifice, because it fights against yourself..

Image something that you really don´t like to do... just image it.. now image yourself making it, it´s painfull, it´s heavy.

And that´s why it pleases God, because it is denying yourself that we are able to aproach God.

KORBAN it is the word for SACRIFICE used in Israel, and it gives the idea of aproaching..getting closer to God.

Sometimes the bigger sacrifice one can make is to "repent of a sin" or "forsake a sin" or to "forgive someone".

Sure there are many ways to sacrifice... but the important thing is to double check if the way you sacrifice is really pleasing God, for God is the one who will

judge and see if what you did, really honoured him... if yes, than expect nothing but a blessing!!

Sacrifice is the life i am living, i can't tell you what it means but i can show you what it is, some of the fruits have come already and they are good, it's just everyday is a sacrifice for me. It is very hard for those who are weak, like at times i have been, but i have always managed to pick myself back up because God is my crutch when i'm wounded and He truelly preserves me, don't take the blessing you recieve at church for granted.

The bible talks about Sacrifice from the very beginning till the end… from Adam and Eva sinning and God making garments for them from an skin of an animal (sacrifice) and after Cain and Abel presenting theirs sacrifice… Noah, Abraham, Moses…till Jesus dying for ours sins on the cross!

But even after Jesus resurrection, we still have to sacrifice!!!

Not in the same way of the past… sacrificing for forgiveness of sins..no!!!

Jesus blood forgive our sins, however nowadays this sacrifice spoken in our church is in order to SHOW to GOD our FAITH.

Yes, through SACRIFICE we show him FAITH.

And for sure you know that WITHOUT FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to please GOD!

This sacrifice is to HONOR our God, to PLEASE our LORD.

Remember King Solomon when sacrificed thousand burnt offering…and God came to him and said “ ask me whatever you wish for.. and I shall give to you!”

Now what many people fail to do today is to understand that the offering itself without the obedience towards the word of God it is useless!

Image if you had a husband or a wife and let say that during the whole year you treat her/him very badly… being rude.. cheating on her…etc.

But on her birthday or in the birthday of your marriage , you by her a gift, something nice….

Will she be pleased with your Gift???????????????????????

The same thing happens with sacrifice, if you only present financial sacrifice and don´t sacrifice your flesh ( your desires) probably your sacrifice won’t have effect!
