Yes!!! I remember this topic and how nice it was. I'm so glad it still is blessing, and people are concerned about that.

Yesterday on the church a member asked me that same question, as she is seeking to be born of God. That made me so happy! I imagine that she has a lot of problems but her greatest desire is to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. And she was so sincere.... Honestly, that made my day!

This question is from 4 years ago, and i really hope that member has stayed to fight the GOOD fight. But for those who this is happening to at the moment... the reason why He has not come yet is because if your thoughts are like this that means you do not trust that He will do as He is saying He would, and doubting His existence in your life. I HATE when people doubt what i say and just to prove that i am not lying to them they seek someone elses assurance, so how much more the Lord God? A great way to start trusting in the Word of God is to tithe, that is just the beginning. But when you start to see Him fulfilling His Word you feel more motivated to do more, like adding 1/5 to redeem back from the tithe you have given. Then by rebuking a simple stomach ache to rebuking cancer or aids. Just keep active. Another great way to increase your boldness towards God and His promise is to go to battalions meeting, not on and off but consistently in order to boost confidence also, if negative things happen don't give up so easily as the reward is great... nobody likes a determined failure.

question to those who have been baptised of the holy sprite, How do you know when you have been baptised in the holy sprite? Someone said that dont expect something special but how will you know? I myself have also been seeking the holy sprite but I dont know if I have received it or not. Ocourse everything about me has change but like now I am one of the teachers for the kids but intill I am baptised in the holy sprite I can not lay hands( pray) on them. If anyone can give me an answer it would be of great help.

its not just about the praying on people you have to want to be a vessel of God its about loving everyone and anyone no matter who or what kind of person they are. I had a situation where there was this man that was high on drugs and he was asking people for money so he went into the church and started asking after the reunion. everyone turned their back and said that they had no money to give. My husband did the same thing. I didn't care about the condition of this person I went up to him and I started to evangelize him. I didn't give him any money because he wanted to use it for drugs. I told him to go to the police station and that they would be able to find him a home to sleep at and I started tell him that Jesus loves him and wanted to help him and so on. I invited him to come to church that Sunday and I gave him a card from the church and I told him if he needed a ride that Iwould be able to pick him up wherever he was. Everyone was looking at me. after he had left I turned to the people and said thats not how Jesus taught me. Jesus taught me to love EVERYONE! and help when ever I could just like he loves and helps me!

Your anxious. Just relax it will happen. God wants to make sure that your ready. He will test you and see how easily you give up by allowing things to happen to you. after your have been baptized the war against the devil only gets tougher. So take this opportunity to exam if your ready to take on this battle. Don't forget that your working for God now and the devil doesn't like that and the devil will do everything to get you to return to his side of the table.

Hi, at the moment Im fighting to be born of God thought the new birth. I know that the Baptism in the holy spirit will be an immediate concequence of the new birth. But my problem is that I've been seeking and asking the Holy spirit to come and asking God to live inside and be the Lord of my heart in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ , but I've got nowhere. Sometimes I think he doesn't want to baptise me, even thought it's said in the Holy bible in Luke chapter 11: verse11-13 that he would give the Holy Spirit to those that ask him.

as you said the word of God says the Holy spirit shall come upon all those who seek him which is absolutely true, the word of God also says "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in his own aouthority"

HEy thanks for telling me this because I so badly want to get batized by the holy spirit and I always pray lord what am I doin wrong or not doin that I have not been batized. Ther are tiem when I feel that he not listenig I wonder am I worthty. It seems like others revieve him without effort and i am praying day and night as well as fasting alot. well that is how I feel right now but I know that God is ready but I have to find what he wants me to do to recieve him. [ i]Serving God was the best decision that I ever made. I was the same way. I too was very anxious to be baptized by the Holy Spirit. I would have a struggle inside of me and its hard to pray through all that. So what I did was I left it in Gods hands. I put in my mind that I want to serve and I love Jesus more than my own kids and and I didn't worry about when I was going to be baptized. I was told that if you have a lot of turmoil in yourself that its going to be pretty hard for the Holy to make a home in your heart.
The fruits are the signs that you need. Love, Peace self control all the fruits are characteristics of God.

I was on the way home when I actually thought about the person that I once was and the person that I am now. and thats when I asked the Holy Spirit to give me a confirmation of this. And that Sunday morning reunion is when I started to speak in tongues! Its the most beautiful feeling /expression I have ever felt. more beautiful than the birth of my children.

So, all you need to be baptized is a really pure, strong and deep desire to receive Him (and therefore serve Him). God will do His part when He sees that thirst inside you.

Of course, do your part showing through actions that you want Him above all things, even above the air you breathe. Do your best to keep away from all things that you know will make Him stay away from you and remember: He’s not looking for the perfect ones; but for the ones who are really sincere, even to realize (and confess Him) their own mistakes and let Him know that without His Spirit, is impossible to win a victory over the world.

thats is sooo true. Many want to recieve the Holy Spirit but they do not fight to recieve him....it's like me walking past the shop and seeing a jacket that i have always wanted but have never known how much it was so instead of making the effort to inquire about the jacket how much it is? have i got conditions to get it?........ i do the opposite and plaster my face on the shop window and hope that somehow, someway the jacket will grow legs and walk out the shop into my arms...urrr WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!

Gods power begins to work when yours has run out!! so if you show the Holy Spirit how much you desire him by doing all that you can in your might....eg like jen sed sacrificing the things that you know you need to sacrifice,analysing yourself (which may i add is very important), purposing, fasting, seeking whole heartedly etc,

when God sees your true desire, and sees you have done all in your strength then for sure he will then come upon you and intervene with HIS STRENGTH!!!!

i am also seeking for the new birth and i know that in time i will receive it bacause i am not perfect but i daily struggle to walk in God's ways and like jd1984 said God will do what he says. i used to be anxious and worry about it and so many things that i wasnt growing but now that i do it properly what we learn to do in the services and apply it i am much closer to God and its is only a matter of time before the new birth happens, this is my faith.
